For two decades, CHBO Inc. has been one of the top Acoustical Construction firms in the New York City area from concept to turnkey. Specializing in design, installation, fabrication, consultation and management of audio/video studios, CHBO has constructed facilities for over 150 clients, most recently including Alicia Keyes and Howard Shore. Through the years the CHBO team has executed projects from SoHo art galleries to state of the art audio/video recording complexes both here and abroad. In May 2005, Chris Bowman, founder and president, relocated CHBO Inc.an hour and a half north of NYC to Kerhonkson, NY (at the base of the Catskill Mountains). Projects in the area include High Falls Mercantile, Jack & Luna's Cafe, Stone Ridge, Howe/Robinson Residence, Kerhonkson. We have just completed two major NYC projects, "Mad River Post"a 6,000 sq ft post facility in Soho and "Colors", a new 3,000 sq ft audio facility serving the advertising industry. We are currently working on the new "Gigantic" facility, located in Chelsea, which will house mixing and editing suites as well as a state of the art Foley Pit for sound effect creations. We have recently completed three residential projects in Stone Ridge and two in West Shokan. We are currently working on a mastering facility in Bearsville as well as a new mixing suite for Beat Street Productions on 21st and Bway in NYC. Interior Design Magazine has just featured the Mad River Post Facility which was completed last Fall on Crosby Street in Soho.
